  1. Hi everyone!
How are you doing? Any comments about the readings? What's the one you liked the most? Why? Hope you are enjoying this week.
    Best wishes,

  2. These readings allowed me to, finally, have a clearer idea of what it is all about. I learned the benefits of using these tools for language learning. I wonder if there are Podcasting sites for real beginners; sort of the slow-english program of the VOA?.

  3. I get a lot of requests from ex students wanting to continue their language practice and development. After these readings and this week's activities, I'm starting to see how podcasts and podcasting are going to benefit my students in, out of and beyond the classroom.

  4. Hi Evelyn and everyone,
The readings gave me a good overview of what podcasting for language learning is all about. I liked Reading 1, which is both wide-ranging and easy to read. Lots of practical ideas.
Additional Reading 4 was also very interesting - I liked how the teacher developed her (his?) students' Web literacy by having them explore editing in sound effects in Audacity.

  5. It's always good to have readings on a course. I liked the first one best because it covered more areas of podcasting that were of interest to me. I liked the advice on looking for a theme in a podcast directory and the ideas for advanced and lower level learners.

I think the quiz could use some tweaking but I emailed my comments after each question - to be helpful not critical.

    Thank you!

  6. In extra reading number 4 there's a good link to a site for free sound effects. This could be really useful for project work with your students.

  7. The readings gave me a good overview of the terms used in podcasting. The quiz was generally a good review and done in an interesting format although I didn't sign in on that one, not wanting to register for another service. Sorry I'm behind; it was a very busy week with a trip out of town for me.

  8. Thanks for the tip, Sue. I missed that link the first time around.

  9. I also did not want to register for another service, I can barely keep up as it is... but the quiz was a very good way for me to revise the readings.
And thank you for uploading such useful texts. I had no idea there was so much behind podcasting: the software, the websites for uploading and sharing, as well as the numerous types of it and acronyms. Really a great reading :)
